Judaics
As a residential camp, Sabra has its own unique Jewish identity. Our camp family offers children a place to be comfortable with and learn about our rich Jewish traditions. We sing traditional blessings before and after each meal (kosher), and explore Jewish values in many of our daily activities. We celebrate Shabbat at Sabra with creative services led by campers under the guidance of our Judaic staff. No matter what affiliation or family practices, our great Jewish summer camp experience will personalize each child's connection with and understanding of Judaism and help ensure Jewish continuity with her/his future connection with our faith.

On Friday nights, the camp gathers to walk as one family to the dining hall. We sing Shabbat songs along the way, and children can sit with whomever they like during our festive meal. Often, siblings will sit together to celebrate. After dinner, we bring the ruach to Shabbat with our Shabbat Players (staff led song and cheer session) and Israeli dancing, then we quiet down with our creative, camper created and led services.

On Saturday mornings camp sleeps in and then gathers for our morning service. The rest of the day is dedicated to relaxation, learning and play all in the celebration of Shabbat.
