Director's Message
Sabra Family,

Camp Sabra is a place where your child can experience Judaism in a unique and personal way. Jewish residential camping is more than fun, friendship and play. It is a place for our children to create and live within their own Jewish community. Making lifelong connections with Jews from all over the world, braiding Judaism into their self-image playing in a Jewish space - that is what Camp Sabra is for our community's next generation.

Camp Sabra is also a place for your child to sigh, to rest, to refresh. So much about our lives is busy, I believe that children need a place dedicated to play. We all know that play is fun, even joyful. It refreshes and energizes us. The joy and energy of Sabra, our ruach, is the magic of us. It will last a lifetime.

My Sabra magic began in 1971 when I stepped off the bus and became a life-long Sabra person. I can still sing those songs, cheer those cheers, and remember my nights with friends, giggling in my cabin. Twelve years of Sabra summers led me into Jewish communal work, and I have worked with Jewish youth since 1987. Now, I have my dream job, Director of Camp Sabra. As Director, I want your child to experience the magic of Sabra, the beauty of our Jewish community, the lifelong commitment to our community that I found on that magic peninsula in the Lake of the Ozarks.

So, thank you for choosing Camp Sabra for your family, thank you for trusting me with your precious child. It will be magic.
